The Psycholinguistic Aspects of Influence of the Symbol Used in Media

Abstract

The article is focused on the study of psycholinguistic mechanisms which influence on peoples’ mind and their behavior. We showed how symbols that systematically are used in media could change worldview of a person. We give the examples of the symbols which appeared recently and became an integral part of media communication. We use data of sociological research to show the difference in people’s behavior before and after watching or listening Russian media.
