Discourse as a speech influence

Abstract

Described in the article material is the result of the analysis of psychotherapeutic and psyhoadvisory literature dedicated to various work techniques of the psychologist with clients in order to highlight in the analyzed sources the utterances of therapist, his dialogues with clients; installation of features of their discourses and isolation of different kinds among them, capable to influence both the subconscious and conscious sphere of the person’s psyche who needs psychological help. The article represents different kinds of discourses, called by the author as nomination discourse, argument discourse, statement discourse, opposing discourse, description discourse; here is given their treatment due to the fact in what function this or that type of discourse acts in psychologist’s professional speech activity, how does it effect on emotions, feelings, states and behavior of customers, what changes occur in their mental life under the influence of the mentioned discourses.
