Features of the use of phraseological expressions in a foreign language
Abstract
The article reveals the main features of the phraseology of the English language, a justification of the natural components of phraseological units, their features, approaches concerning the principles of phraseology classification. The inclusion of a variety of extralinguistic factors in translation of phraseological units in texts. Skilful use of idiomatic expressions in the texts of modern English periodicals makes it more vivid, expressive, emotive and causes the reader to certain associations. The correct application of any of the translation and reception method requires a creative approach to the solution of each specific task. The final decision to use a particular method of translating phraseological expressions depends on the context. This exploration helps to understand the complex way of steady combinations of words to get an idea about semantic and stylistic properties of phraseological units, to master the norms of their usage in speech.
